Flagship Pomade Co. is proud to present our new line of ‘By Land’ products called Steel Horse.

Headlining this is our Med-Firm, Oil-Based Pomade. Made with many of the same ingredients from our other line, we have added in other ingredients such as lanolin and premium-grade fragrance oils to allow for more creativity and diversity in our products.

Providing a medium to firm hold with shine to match, our pomade will keep your hair in place while taking care of it throughout the day. The shea butter, coconut oil, and lanolin will protect and condition as you wear it.

Scented using sandalwood and vanilla fragrance oils and sweet orange essential oils, you will have a slightly sweet and cologne-like scent right out of the jar, but as the day progresses it will smooth into a very subtle, neutral and fresh scent that pairs well with any cologne that you may choose as well.

INGREDIENTS: SHEA BUTTER, CANDELILLA WAX, LANOLIN, COCONUT OIL, HYDROGENATED CASTOR OIL, FRAGRANCE/ESSENTIAL OILS

APPLICATION:

Using pressure, break through top layer of the pomade. Scoop using the finger tip and agitate in palms until smooth, using the thumb to smooth out any inconsistencies. Apply and style as desired.

Steel Horse Water based Pomade

What in tarnation?! Well… Here what we have here is a new waterbased product! Here at Flagship Pomade Co., we are always looking to try new things for ourselves, and Steel Horse allows us the avenue to create a different type of waterbased than we have in the past.

This is a medium-firm water based product, yet different from the borax and sunflower lecithin types that we have made for our Flagship line. For this we have used vegetable-based emulsifying wax along with other high quality ingredients to provide healthy shine, creamy consistency, and good conditioning.

When we think of Steel Horse, we wanted to provide some levels of nostalgia to meet the theme. That’s where the scent come in… It is a blend of rich coffee, tobacco, and vanilla. Smooth, manly, and slightly sweet, it pairs well with most colognes while still evoking the good ole’ rail road days.

Washes out with shampoo and water, doesn’t harden, and restyles like a charm. And your hair will thank you too… So get on board, as we set on down the tracks… Day after day.

Flagship Pomade and Borneoil/BPH (Borneo Pomade House, @bph_store) present :

Strait of Malacca

Themed after the infamously dangerous and pirate filled strait located in between Malay Peninsula and Sumatra, we wanted to pay homage to the culture and diversity found in that part of the world with this pomade.

Made with Hemp Seed OIl and Lanolin, expect wonderful conditioning for your hair. An unorthodox waterbased pomade, it will style like a heavy oil based pomade. The shine is on the high to medium side if applied as directed and washes out easily with shampoo and water.

Although when first opening the jar you will not be able to smell it very well, once you scoop the scent will come to the forefront. A blend of floral essential oils along side some slight spice, you will get a pleasant scent that will be subtle and smooth throughout the day.

Flagship Pomade’s Medium Oil Based : an all natural, vegan alternative to the many hair products that are out there. Our product is petroleum free, and uses only the finest natural waxes and oils.

When breaking through the top layer of wax, you will notice a little resistance; the wax that gives this pomade it’s stiffness and hold is very brittle. Once this layer has been broken though, you will find a smooth, creamy consistency. More waxy than oily, this product provides a medium shine. It will also gain more strength each day of build up using this.

A blend of several different types of citrus, mixed with some grounding essential oils, our Citrus Cologne scent is refreshing and complex. It will remind you of a beach lined with citrus groves, the scent of which is carried across the sea breeze.

APPLICATION:

For best results, break into the pomade using the back of your fingernail. After this, the fingertip should be sufficient to scoop out the necessary amount of pomade. Apply generously until product in hair meets your personal standard and style!

This product works well as a leave in conditioner. It will take 2-3 washes with shampoo to remove from hair.

Flagship Dead Sea Clay

We used a combination of Kaolin and Sea Clay to create an extremely smooth yet grippy clay product. For those of us with shorter hair, the hold will be fairly high, but still allowing for texture and easy restyling.  We have also used sea salt in the process to help push the theme and provide mineral benefits for the scalp.

We also themed our scent after things you would find around the Dead Sea itself: Lavender, Balsam, and Cypress. Smooth and floral.

Much like our other waterbased products, this product will wash out easily and leave your hair soft and refreshed after each use. No drying out like some of the higher end clays on the market.

Northern Lights Matte Paste is a medium/firm hold, no shine, water based matte styling product.  Always keeping the hair’s health in mind, each jar is handmade with quality plant-derived ingredients, unlike a lot of similar salon-style products on the market which are full of harsh chemicals. Getting my start in the salon industry, creating a product like this has always been a goal for me. I truly believe we’re bridging a gap between home-brew & cosmetic lab-made products.

For best results: Northern Lights should be applied in dry hair. For a medium hold use a small scoop and apply more for a firmer hold. The product stays malleable all day and washes out 100% with shampoo.

Anti-Gravity was developed over a period of two years. It has always been the white whale to my Ahab. I’ve been chasing this formula, trying to achieve what I thought was impossible for a very long time.

I finally caught her.

I’ve always wanted to try creating a product that is a hybrid of several different product types and that’s exactly what we did here. Anti-Gravity is a Matte Paste/Clay/Fiber/Cream Hybrid all rolled into one very unique formula. It has the consistency of a Light Fiber, applies like a cream, holds like a paste, and provides the texture and volume of a clay.

Unique Characteristics:

Water Based: Fully water soluble for hassle free performance.
Silica: Absorbs into the hair and plumps it for a thicker/fuller look.
Bentonite and Kaolin blend: Adds tons of volume and texture.
Acrylates: Provides strength and rigidity for all day hold.
Coconut Oil: Provides nutrients to leave hair soft and strong.
Cucumber fruit extract: Repairs and strengthens hair.
Rosemary leaf extract: Stimulates hair follicles to keep blood flow strong.
Natural beeswax: Provides hold and locks in moisture.

PRO TIP:
Work small amounts of product into the hair at a time. The more product you add the stronger it will become (to the point that it will become too strong). Apply two dime sized scoops to hair from back to front, ensuring even coverage. Blow dry product into hair, allowing it to set up before adding more product. If more hold is desired, apply another dime sized scoop and repeat.

Transcend Wax Clay

Transcend is a wax/clay hybrid type product that is very versatile, capable of textured styles and slick styles all with one product. Transcend will leave you with a clean matte finish while still allowing you to restyle your hair throughout the day. Transcend provides both a matte/natural finish and a high hold for textured hair styles. Ideal for medium and short hair lengths, this product will give you the control that you need without any greasy residue.

Pro Tip:
For volume and texture add a small amount of product from back to front, being sure to get the roots, and blow dry using heat to direct hair and then cold to lock in style.

For a slick look add two nickel sized scoops from front to back, comb product through, style accordingly.

The Cause

Transcend is more than a product however, Lockhart’s and The Pomade Shop have joined forces to help raise funds that will be going to charity’s that support men’s mental health in their respective countries. Ascribed on the side of the jar is a quote from the great Transcendentalist, Ralph Waldo Emerson, who said “Write it on your heart that every day is the best day in the year.”

Not only do we want to raise funds to support charities but we want the users of Transcend to constantly be aware of this mantra, knowing that no matter how hard life may be at times, there is always beauty in the world around us and if they are unable to find that beauty we hope they seek help in order to find that beauty once more.

THE AMERICAN FOUNDATION FOR SUICIDE PREVENTION

A portion of the sales from this product will be donated to The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP). AFSP raises awareness, funds scientific research and provides resources and aid to those affected by suicide.

This is a cause that hit home hard for the Lockhart family back in 2015 when Nichole and her sister lost their father to suicide just a few months before losing their mother to cancer. We’ve teamed up with our friends from The Pomade Shop (Australia) to show our support for those who are trying to overcome their depression, found light on the other side, and have found life after being affected by someone they love committing suicide. Together we can raise awareness and get rid of the stigma surrounding mental illness one conversation at a time!
